The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。本作は賀十つばさの同名小説を原作にしたスイーツ・ヒューマンドラマだ。パティシエとしての修業を積み、大阪で洋菓子店を開いた白井葵（しらいあおい）は経営がうまくいかず、店を閉じることに。そこにくせの強い料理研究家・佐渡谷真奈美（さどやまなみ）が現れ、白井の店の厨房でたった1人のためのお菓子教室を開く。その教室にやってくる生徒は、それぞれが心に痛みを抱えている人たちだった。そして菓子を作り、味わう時間が、孤独な心を優しく包み込んでいく。。在塞浦路斯开餐馆的中年男人老崔回国跟妻子办离婚，却发现让自己后院起火的罪魁祸首是自己的朋友。老崔得知合伙人要卖掉塞浦路斯的餐馆，情场失意的老崔只想快点回到塞浦路斯挽救自己的事业。不料倒霉的事情并没有完，在老崔前往飞机场的途中，一个醉酒的女孩子小夏忽然拦住了老崔乘坐的出租车，好心的老崔本想只送小夏回家，没想后面却发生了一连串事情，搞到身无分文、护照失窃，甚至衣不遮体。情急之下，老崔只得和小夏合作，相互帮助，不料一波未平，一波又起，两人历经磨难，甚至还卷入到一场盗窃国宝的阴谋之中。在相处的过程中，两人的内心似乎也种下了一颗在渐渐发芽的种子…… 该片是“中影集团青年导演电影制作计划”启动的第一部影片。。
