影片讲述一头白狮的成长历程。直接把观众当成听故事的孩子，老者用旁白娓娓道来一个故事。每个狮子的都有一个统治草原的梦想，就像每一头老虎都有一个占山为王的梦想一样。狮子是广阔草原的意象，其草原环境决定其可以组建并统治一个大的家族，封疆拓土，并以自由竞争，强者为王的形象，成为西方社会王者的动物代表。。Michael Keegan-Dolan is one of the most remarkable choreographers working in dance and theatre today.
