作品的故事设定在现今的21世纪，猫神茧与普通人类柚子一起生活。柚子的父母因为意外生亡，所以柚子从小便一人继承了古董店“八百万堂”。而在这寄居的茧，虽然是负责守护被遗忘的万物和记忆的神明，但在作品中只是一个只顾吃、喝、玩及睡的猫神。在作品中，除了茧外，也将会有很多很多不同的各式神明陆续登场，热热闹闹地交织出一部轻松的喜剧。。一个有言语障碍的男孩想在孟买寻找心爱的女孩，但他意识到去往这座城市的唯一方式是加入当地的卡巴迪运动队。。Try as he might, the roguishly handsome Cliff Starkey, just can't keep out of trouble. In his sleepy home town on the English coast, nothing much inspires him...apart from bowls. Cliff has always preferred to play by his own rules much to the disapproval of the regimented, elderly bowls fraternity. Before long, the bay boy of bowls is turning the sedate and very English pastime...。
