乔安吉巴托在当红之际人间蒸发，三十年来，喃语迷蒙的嗓音仍在里约街头传唱，却再也无人见过他的踪迹。德国作家来到巴西探寻大师身影未曾成功，他将过程细写成书，却在作品出版前自缢身亡。同样身为乐迷的导演乔治盖修照著书中的蛛丝马迹按图索骥，找出大师御用理发师、厨师、昔日搭档甚至妻女，盼能见到仍茧居在城市中的大师，但总也缘铿一面。不甘命运老是错身而过，导演立誓找到大师，完成作家遗愿：请他亲唱一首Bossa Nova名曲〈喔巴啦啦〉（Hoba-là-là）！。Nikita lives in the small town of Chegarinsk, which is right on the drug trafficking route from Central Asia to Siberia.
